The density of the human body is very similar to water (1g/cm3).
This means that if the human head displaces a certain volume of water, the mass of water displaced will be approximately
equal to that of the volunteer's head.
Here I am working out the mass of my head with some of my Y12 class (05-06) in the background:
Of course, while the density of the brain is comparable to water, the density of bone is 1.8g/cm3, but I can't
find any info on what percentage of the human head is bone.
Anyone who has any info on this please let me know!
